"This property was incredible! We had such a great time that it was hard to leave! House keeping and turn down services were included which you rarely see now. The staff was so friendly and helpful and it felt like our second home. The driving range was top notch and it was hard to get my teenagers to leave. Fantastic property! Thank you for the wonderful time!"

"We regularly travel with a large sports team and this was our all-time favourite tournament hotel. We loved the gazebo outside for team meals and found the staff very accommodating. This is a well-designed hotel, and the proximity to picturesque Ladysmith was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend to teams traveling for tournaments in Nanaimo."

"The morning breakfast staff need a review in customer service. They embarrassed a family who made the error of sitting at a reserved table at 0945hrs. All the designated breakfast tables were occupied at the time. They told them to move as though this was a huge problem. The next paying customer were due at 1100hrs. They didn’t need to make a big deal about it. The staff are taking their job far too seriously- they should be smiling and cheerful with customers and make the morning feel...

"Come! Sit! Stay! says the announcer … A perfect description for those travellers who require a one night stay before flight.
Although the Waddling Dog is under renovation, it is perfect for a short stay. For a very clean stay in a newly renovated British character inn, attached to a pub and across from a gas station for a last minute top up, stay here."
