Victoria County Travel Guide

New Brunswick

While driving back from Halifax through New Brunswick I came across a street sign advertising the Falls & Gorge in Grand Falls NB so of course I had to pop in and take a peek. What I found was this incredible place that can be quickly overlooked if you drive straight through. The Falls & Gorge walk is approximately 5 KM depending where you start. Along the path you can find geocaching, a nice picnic area, and a place that you can pay a small fee to take over 200+ stairs to different sections of the gorge below. Depending on whether you take photos or walk right through I easily spent 3 hours here. The paths are not wheelchair friendly in many areas, but there are sections where you can drive up to and look down.

Grand Falls is a nice place to stop for an afternoon and to take in some of the sites. We did an hour boat tour of the Grand Falls gorge and saw some geography that I had not previously seen in Canada.

Me... not so much.
