"LESS THAN MEDIOCRE AND WAY OVERPRICED:
Our visit was from Saturday-Sunday on a very busy June weekend. I must say I am not impressed with the hotel considering the cost and neighboring options. At $400 plus taxes and fees for a double Queen nonsmoking room without even a microwave amongst other issues, is just not worth it. This was our second overnight at L'Auberge and this visit was just as lackluster as our first overnight. ZERO hot water from 5:30AM-6:30AMish after my workout and before my meeting was highly inconveniencing. Don't get me wrong, the lazy river is nice, but the empty drink cups and cans oh-plenty lining the side of the river combined with the wind wafting the smell of the bar mat and trash directly up your nostrils as you float past the swim-up really sets the tone for your evening of gambling once the sun goes down let me tell ya. Our next trip we are definitely looking forward to trying out the Golden Nugget. We can always Uber over to gamble at the casino here, if need be, but are definitely not giving L'Auberge another chance to disappoint us."
"The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was better than most hotels of this price point. Only cons were the single ice machine is at the far end of the second floor, and the mini fridge didn’t have a freezer."
"Most disgusting run down motel ever. The place smelled like musty mildew, it was so bad I had to spray perfume everywhere to breathe in there. There were bugs. The floor was filthy you could see the caked up dirt. The shower curtain was stinky and looked like it had boogers flung on it. The towels had holes in them. The whole room needs a deep cleaning. I would rate it -10/10. Don’t waste your money! Completely unsanitary. It’s owned by independent person using the Wyndham name. It’s not a hotel- it’s a shabby motel at best. Do better!!!"
"What a terrible excuse for a hotel .
Leak in the bathroom floor, no soap in the tub, all three ice machines were broken, surely late night staff, and to top it all off, the night staff let a woman wrap up in a blanket, lay on a couch in the lobby, and sleep for the night. After two days, we changed hotels."
"We visit Golden Nugget every June to celebrate a friend's birthday, and unfortunately this year's experience was disappointing.
We stayed for two nights over the weekend and paid approximately $600 per night, but the overall service and value did not meet expectations.
Our reservation at Vic & Anthony's was at 9:30 PM. While our waitress was friendly and doing his best, he was clearly overwhelmed with too many tables. As a result, it took nearly an hour for our food to arrive. This seemed to be a staffing issue rather than an employee issue.
The restaurants throughout the property appeared understaffed, and the food prices were extremely high for the quality being served. For the amount guests are paying to stay at the resort, the dining experience should be much better.
Checkout day was also frustrating. Valet service took an unusually long time to bring our vehicle, adding to an already disappointing stay.
Another inconsistency was at the pool. Guests were told that tumblers were not allowed, yet we observed several people in the pool area with tumblers, making the policy seem unevenly enforced.
We have enjoyed visiting Golden Nugget for years, but this visit was not the experience we've come to expect. Management should seriously consider improving restaurant staffing, service efficiency, food quality, and consistency in enforcing policies. For the rates being charged, guests deserve a much better experience."
"The elevator malfunction. The manager said they would give me a discount, but when I checked out, they refused the discount. They said it was because I booked through a 3rd party."
