"My Kids and I stayed here for a couple nights and we really love the central location that this place has to offer on top of the fact that it has a very beautiful grounds. Yes, the valet is a little bit expensive and the taxes also ridiculous but it is really convenient because some other places would charge you to come in and out so in the end the last night we decided to do valet and I’m glad we did. I like that they had bikes and surfboards and beach chairs along with beach towels, right there as you leave. Everybody on the staff was super accommodating and helpful from the concierge at the front desk to the cleaning staff to the valet attendants. All were top notch nice. I didn’t really notice the traffic sounds until the last morning, but it didn’t wake me up or was extremely loud to me and I’m a pretty light sleeper so if you are not a fan of hearing the freeway at night, you might not want to stay here. But like I said, I am a light sleeper and it didn’t bother me. I would definitely consider coming back here to stay for a girls trip or a nice short, romantic getaway with my husband. "

"Clean, modern room with comfortable bed. Slightly unusual room layout. Parking is expensive at $45/night. Good breakfast. Staff helpful. The cost of parking would put me off staying again. "

"AVOID THIS MOTEL. Don't let the refresh of decor or low-ish price fool you. The Internet didn't work in my room, and the manager says it "often drops" in other rooms. When I brought it up to the front desk staff, the lady at reception simply denied there was a problem and became angry. When I politely asked to sit in the lobby to do work e-mail, I was yelled at and angrily kicked out under threat of her calling the police. For what? For trying to sit quietly and access the Internet I was paying for and neeed for my work? It was completely irrational. I had paid for 3 nights up front via Hotels.com and was told "We never give any refunds. Ever." When I checked out two nights early, abandoning my $250 payment, they even kept the $30 in parking fees we were required to pre-pay. As I sat on the dirty floor in the hallway to do email, the neighbors could be heard shouting and cursing. The pictures look cute, but this is a low-life dump in reality."

"As soon as we came out of the elevator it stunk like cigarette smoke on the entire floor and in our bedroom. The smell was so strong in the carpets and curtains, it was pretty gross. The shuttle to Universal was really convenient, and the food in the courtyard was good. The movies playing at the pool was a really fun idea although it was too cold at night. "

"Shops nearby, clean room had no bad smell just noticeably looked beat like needs a fresh paint the tub looks super old and used a lot. Beds are very comfortable. Don't buy the breakfast it was nothing special the bacon was super thin. They just offered 3 choices if you buy it on hotels.com you pay $60 more than the hotel it's self on their menu."
