"Room was spacious and spotless with clean and tidy kitchen /bathroom.Bed and pillows were perfect ...best nights sleep ever ! Staff were very friendly especially the receptionist Myriam? Parking was available on site.Hotel is well located...Just a walk or bus ride into city .Will be looking into using this hotel next time we visit York"

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free parking but a little tight. Breakfast with a small fee was excellent. Sink and refrigerator were nice. 2 free water bottles. 10-15 minutes from city center. The room in the loft was not good at all. The ceiling on some parts were so short so I hit my head twice. No window. Only one small skylight"

"Very run down, weird room with bath behind, door that wouldn't lock went onto some disused servants stairs, all wallpapers coming off, furniture all mismatched, carpet disgusting, charged to park car, some random down and out wandering through hotel. Place needs a lot of money spent on it, pillows strange shapes, bed very uncomfortable. Breakfast staff helpful and friendly, breakfast adequate."

"Really clean basic room with decent decent tv. And a comfortably large bathroom. Only issue was that the pub doesn’t serve fodd or breakfast. No big deal though as there are plenty of options just outside."
