"My second time here. Not because I had to, I like it here. My only word of advice is bring your own pool towel & you will be OK. There must have been a 100 kids in there b4 adult time. lol. we went there when the kids were gone & it was amazingly clean in there. The hot tub was hot. The top button turns it on.."

"Despite the property name that sounds vaguely like a chain hotel, I found out later that this a family business and I am so glad to have stayed here for that reason alone. The owners are a delightful couple who are attentive to their guests and work very hard for the success of their business. I made a reservation online at the last minute so when I arrived only a short time later, they didn't have the room linens ready for me. To allow me to check in immediately, they offered me a different room and I very much appreciated it. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. I was only in the area for two nights, and this hotel was the perfect home base for my activities. I didn't take advantage of the breakfast here due to my schedule, but I got a cup of their brewed coffee from Ember Coffee Co. each morning. I had great conversations with the owners (and other staff members as well) who helped me learn about the area and make plans to visit the wildlife refuge that's just north of Big Lake. These personal interactions are what make this hotel so special."
