"We were pleasantly surprised by the property. It was basic, but clean and in a brilliant location. The check in was smooth and the room had all the amenities we needed for the night. The only negative was the extremely high damage deposit of £100 that we did not know of when we made the initial booking, we only noticed when we received the Expedia confirmation. They took £100 from my credit card and it took quite a few days to get this money back. I thought this amount was far to high taking in...

"I'll start with the pro's first... that would be their staff! Friendly, willing to help... just overall lovely people. I had solid water pressure and the provided quality bath products and toilet paper. All in all, awesome! My room was 'clean-ish'. The chair in the room was filthy but the bed and bathroom were clean. The negative - they could not get their air con or heat to work in that room. Fortunately, it was cool outside and I was able to open some windows... but I do believe working...

Apart from the staff member who checked me in, I was ignored every time I passed the reception post. Staff couldn’t be bothered even to say good morning. Very disappointing."
