"We stayed 3 nights in a bleak February. The weather was bad, but the room was warm and cosy. The dining hall was shut, but a continental breakfast was laid out on the landing and a small table and chairs provided in the room. Cooked breakfast was available for a small extra fee, but we didn't feel we needed one. "Everything was absolutely perfect, very nice and cosy room. Ricardo and the lady who was helping him advised us about places to visit. Ricardo makes delicious breakfast. His homemade granola is so good. If we are coming back, we will definitely come back to this place. "

"Love the Portland Guest House, fantastic location for wide choice of restaurants in the town. The place is always spotless and the staff are so friendly. Entry is now via key box system and breakfast has moved over to Continental only. This still offers a good choice of food and drinks. Defo recommend the place."
