"This was a different hotel experience than expected, but not in a bad way. We arrived unfamiliar with the check-in procedures, or even which door to enter for the hotel. We found our way into the hotel restaurant and a gracious employee took us around to the desk where we got our key. Our room in this 1920's vibe hotel was #3. It was small but comfortable; the bathroom was teenie tiny, but adequate. We noted a double parlor downstairs, an elevator and a restaurant. Two things to be aware of: Although the website states that the Hotel DeFuniak is a Bed and Breakfast hotel, there is no breakfast. We did see a Keurig near the front desk. Also, don't expect to encounter a lot of staff here. Besides the helpful young woman in the restaurant who showed us our key, there was only one other young woman who freshened the Keurig supplies. The building has an interesting history and the location was perfect for walking to restaurants. We will know better what to expect should we visit again."
