"Excellent accommodation I would highly recommend. Run by a very friendly couple. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was terrific. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again."

"I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay."

"The hotel was good for £58 a night just before flying. The lady behind the desk was absolutely lovely when we checked in. The rooms were clean but they miss out on detailed cleaning but for one night, it isn’t an issue. Room was huge, we walked in and said ‘woah’! Very close to the airport, easy bus services that drop you off just outside the services. Also very close to multi different food places and they had their own separate car park from the services one."

"Short stay as we had an early flight out in the morning. Straightforward check in and out and a takeaway breakfast as we were leaving too early for the main dining room. Short walk too and from the airport so ideally located. Very comfortable room."

"No parking at this hotel"

"I stayed as I was catching a flight from SEN, I was very impressed with how clean and well presented the rooms and the hotel in general were. Comfortable bed, I slept very well. Food was lovely, fish and chips. Great view of the airport from the restaurant and bar on the 5th floor. Only a couple of minutes walk to catch the flight. Also handy for other alternative to the restaurant, McDonald's right opposite, and a range of shops at the outlet right opposite too. Easy to get to, easy to find....

"Room smelt of curry . 1 small towel for 3people grouting on tile’s mouldy . Bed clean and comfortable though . Lift not working properly same 7 months earlier! Not fixed"

"Perfect place to stay overnight before a flight from Stansted. Lots of choice for your help yourself breakfast. Wasn’t made aware that you could leave your car there and take a taxi to the airport. Would have definitely saved some money. Maybe this could be highlighted more."

"Plenty of parking available, the staff were friendly and helpful. The actual accommodation is very tired and dated. The sink in the bathroom was totally cracked and in my opinion could be dangerous."

"I wish I’d just paid more to go to a chain hotel. This was terrible, the shower took 10 minutes to warm up by this point the bathroom was already flooded and the water was leaking into the bedroom floor. One of the great benefits was ‘FREE PARKING’ listed on their advert but I was in fact charged for parking for the few hours I was there overnight!!! Conveniently close to the airport but that’s about all that was good about this place."

"It has a warm and friendly atmosphere, with visible staff @ the front desk, hallway and kitchen. The room is clean and well-stocked. We also love the breakfast buffet."

"The room was clean and comfortable, but could do with a little TLC. Nothing bad with the room, just a few bits that could do with a spruce up, like the shower as an example. Staff were great, all really friendly and helpful. WiFi was also good. "
