"Beautiful hotel on university grounds a stone throw away from the Royal Mile with great bus connections. Staff were really polite and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived to when we left. Our room was spacious but cozy, with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend."

"Overall a lovely stay. The staff is very helpful and the location is wonderful (can walk to the middle of town in one direction and Arthur's seat in the other). One point which was odd - the underside of the rubber mat for the bathtub had quite a bit of dark mold. I turned it in at the desk and it was replaced by one that had quite a bit of long black hair on the underside (they are in little zippered covers). I finally got a clean one, but yuck. Other than that - lovely stay, room otherwise clean - they just need to inspect all of those mats. The restaurant and room service were both quite good and it was a nice quiet and restful place. "

"The pet charge is a bit expensive but they give a proper welcome pack for your doggo so honestly worth it. The room was very clean, quiet as requested and the amenities were great. Ideal for a single trip with your dog like it was for me. Be careful they tell you after, that you cannot leave your pet alone in the room! More and more properties request this and it’s really not easy when you’re alone and have planned a diner out. "
