"The hotel is near alot of businesses for food, shopping, and entertainment. Yet, it is dated and the lighting is dark to not show how wore down it is. Old is not an issue but dated and rundown us different. You have to pay extra for every selling point they offer. So for aĺl that unless you're set on swimming in a busy pool etc. then not worth it. The good thing is the location and the room was not freezing like most hotels. The staff were responsive. "

"Staff here are wonderful, it’s incredibly clean and beautifully decorated. Unfortunately the bed was so uncomfortable I didn’t sleep other than this everything was great. Food well presented and tasted soo good. "

"As usual all amenities were clean and tidy. Room and bathroom were first rate and all the staff my wife and I came into contact with were welcoming, friendly and willing to that extra step including changing us to a room on a lower floor. Stay was excellent overall"

"Centralised temperature control was broken and staff failed to address the issue in 2 consecutive nights. Rooms were heated through centralised system and there was no maintenance staff to fix it and thermostats in the rooms were disabled, it wasn’t possible to control room temperature and opening windows led to major motorway (M4) noise in the room. This led to very uncomfortable and sleepless nights for entire family!!! "

"Quick service at the reception & very helpful about the parking. Clean room & bathroom. Comfortable bed. Clean white soft towels & lots of hot water & good shower pressure. Breakfast had a good choice & well presented."

"We stayed for 1 night in a premium room. First the best point, the bed was just perfect for us, 6ft wide and super comfy. However, overall the room had a number of annoying niggles: regarding safety and security, the room door wouldn’t close properly without significant effort and noise - not good at any time but particularly inconvenient late at night, the bath had no grab handles to make it safe to enter and exit the bath and using the bath was made more risky by the bath mat being too small - if you had it at the back of the bath to aid entry and exit it was not close enough to the shower head when you were showering and vice-versa. Additionally, the bath surround was particularly worn, the sofa was too grubby to use and there was a broken towel hook on the back of the bathroom door. I can’t help feeling that some of these things could be easily fixed and at moderate cost and that if addressed the overall offering would be significantly enhanced. A shame really as it’s a lovely place and well located for numerous local visits and trips. Maybe we were just unlucky on the room."

"Food was great, dinner was fantastic. Bed very comfortable. Service was patchy at best. I couldn't order a flat white with breakfast because they were 'too busy'. There were 3 tables occupied in breakfast room! There are much better hotels for £300+ per night"

"Room was small. The espresso coffee machine not working, was reported, but unfortunately nothing done about it!! The toilet seat was broken, again reported but not repaired. "
