"I almost cancelled our booking after reading some mixed reviews online. Im so glad i didnt. The hotel is in an excellent quiet location, within a 5-10 minute walk from Westminster Abbey and close to Victoria station. The layout of the hotel is a bit different but thats also due to the age of the property. "Staff were amazing from start to finish. The room was big, clean an bed was very comfortable. Only 1 chair in the room so had to sit on the bed to watch telly. Food was good especially Sunday Roast which was so tasty and a really good sized portion. Met the owner while out walking and she recognised us and was very friendly gave us advice on our walk and looked forward to seeing us at lunchtime. "The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The building is beautiful and attractive. I last stayed there in 1976 and it has changed a lot. The rooms are now all en-suite, which wasn't the case 49 years ago. The room in which I stayed was fantastically quiet and the bathroom was beautiful!
