"This motel was a nice new spot whose location was a little bit tricky to find at first. It was very modern and clean and set back a bit from the road. There was a nice pool and landscaped relaxation area out back, though we did not have time to take advantage of it. The bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast with coffee, yogurt, fruit, juice, cereal and bread was available at 6 am. We were greeted remotely on a monitor at checkout time, and we dropped our key cards into a box. I understood that we would get 24 hour support by phone, but we did not need it. Recommended."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elk Grove Central - Hwy 99 by IHG
8/10 Good
"As always, the check in process went well. The breakfast was amazing. The cleanliness of the room was 3 star. Our beds were comfortable, however I made sure to have flip flops on at all times because I believe it’s time to get the carpets cleaned. Otherwise, it was worth the stay."
"Flew in to attend my daughter's wedding, so was hoping that every aspect of my stay would be pleasant and memorable. And it was for the most part. Red-eye flight into SAC arrived much earlier due to flight change so I was hoping to check in to my room earlier and was told I could for a $25 fee. Instead, I chose to pass the time at a park. Room #202 was clean and smelled fine. Had clean linens and towels. Had a small refrigerator and decent size screen tv. Didn't have an iron, which I could have used in preparation for the wedding. Cons: There were a few threatening looking dogs (I saw two coming our of a room) attended by persons who might have been there on an extended stay, not sure. In general, it was low key and quiet during the night. To any business owner I would say, Be fair and accommodating as possible. Take pride in what you do and make it the best you possibly can whatever it is. Then true success will follow."
"The staff were friendly and room reserved was ready on time. The rooms look like they have been refreshed fairly recent long based on blankets and laminate wood style flooring. The bed though was hard and the pillows were small and quite flat. The bathroom, while basic cleaned needed a good cleaning. Tub drain filled with hair, looked like outside of toilet was wiped down, but with a bit of a dirty towel and stains around the mirror frame and faucet that with a little scrubbing came off. Yes I tried.
I gave three stars as it did include a small breakfast and was under $100 including tax. This is definitely a place that you get what you pay for."
