"Very relaxing stay. Room was lovely, homely and comfy. Food fantastic, apart from raw horsemeat that was served which wasn't for me. Onsen was lovely. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy to get to from the bus from Hakata. It's the first ryokan down the hill from the bus stop. There's no sign in English outside but google translate confirmed we were at right place. "

"A peaceful and relaxing simple retreat. Old style ryokan with tatami mats etc. We used the men only onsen and were basically alone in there. It was very clean and hot. Perfect. Also they offered complimentary coffee, tea and ramen cup. They provided everything we needed for using the baths. "

Not to mention they had Louis Armstrong playing in the parking lot which gave me such a nostalgic feeling. Very wholesome experience. The kurokawa onsen area is such a quaint vibe combined with the villa’s modern take on a nostalgic past time in America. 10/10 experience. I would definitely revisit! "
