"The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. "Uotoshi is remarkable value for money and is also unique. The owner is very welcoming with great English. The Ryokan is older and somewhat rundown but it is also a community hub that has sing along classes for local kids (Rudolph the red nose reindeer in Japanese is awesome) and have fun with English nights. There is a Kyudo (Japanese archery) range behind the Ryokan which has classes taught by the owner as well as area competitions. Breakfast was varied and very tasty. I thoroughly enjoyed...

"山奥です。施設周辺は夜の買い物がやや不便です。正直それを好む方がオススメです。ちゃんと昼間に買い出ししてればキッチンでとっても楽しく料理出来ます。朝はデッキでとても気持ちよくコーヒー飲んで過ごせました。いくつか果物を頂きました。是非エンジョイして欲しいです。"
