If you want to take a step off the beaten track in Japan this is a very good option. The hotel is situated in a very good place to explore the Kyoto on Sea area (this is not Kyoto city). Very nice onsen hotel. Great with free bus to the town, if you don't want to walk. Good buffet for breakfast and dinner. Good size rooms. Free drinks from 14:00-22:00 including beer and sake. The onsen was also very good.

Wonderful stay! Our friends were late in arriving and they held dinner for them. The dinner and breakfast were amazing. The staff speaks limited English but worked hard to make everything perfect for our stay. I would recommend staying 2 nights to really experience Kinosake Onsen.
