"I think very few gaijin go this far out. Some of the communication was difficult but the staff tried really hard and we enjoyed the stay
Hard to navigate getting to and from major stations and it snowed one day at end of March
Overall I’m glad we did it for the experience to be immersed in Japanese culture.

"The food, atmosphere, and super friendly staff definitely make this place to return to. Staff was always friendly and very, very accommodating even with our limited Japanese vocabulary. Definitely the highlight of our trip for sure!"
"Staff was fantastic and good food for breakfast and dinner. Very pleasant experience. But the area is pretty remote and would love to have more transportation options around the area. But still accessible via public transportation and very fun. "
"I feel this is one of the best hotels and was my families favorite hotel of our trip to Japan. I love the private pools and the complete environment of this hotel, location in the woods, by a river, quiet and peaceful. "
