We stayed in room 1 and had a lovely view of the river on the morning, hotel was quiet, warm and comfortable. Martyn assisted with great communication telling us everything we needed to know prior to getting to the guest house, check in and check out was simple and easy. "We stayed here for a couple of nights for a long weekend exploring the Yorkshire Wolds. The location is great, being close to a few larger towns like Driffield and Pocklington, but also close to some amazing walking including a stretch of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The room was really lovely, the staff friendly, and the food and beer fantastic. We will definitely stay again when we're next out this way! "

"I was greeted very politely by a very busy member of staff. Service was a little slow but only because it is clearer a popular venue for locals as well as travellers. My room 14 was very comfortable and clean. There is a damp patch on the ceiling outside the ensuite door. Unfortunately i did not see any staff to show them as i left. A very convenient place to stay right in the centre of the lovely market town. "

"Our stay was excellent in every way and Mal couldn’t have been more hospitable. His breakfast was delicious, the bed very comfortable and the room well furnished. The area is quiet, perfect for a good night’s sleep. "
