"Very disappointed that Blue Badge holders were forbidden to use the disabled parking spaces , as they were reserved for able body conference attendees. Doesn't the government have legislation on this??
We have stayed in a number of hotels in Harrogate, and this is our favourite ( so far)."

"Old fashioned but classicly grand hotel. Single room but quite spacious, bath with shower over. Nicely central location at edge of gardens. Breakfast and evening meal were ok, buffet hot food breakfast, plenty of staff, huge impressive dining room. Very convenient for conference buildings."

"The exterior of the hotel is lovely but once inside it’s very tired. The carpets are worn and stained. No air con or phone in the room. The tea/coffee was not refilled during the service. There is no lift in the section of hotel I was staying. The windows didn’t open much and the was no fan available. It was convenient for where I wanted to be.
The staff I dealt with are very pleasant and there’s a large car park."

"I recently stayed at this hotel and was quite disappointed. The hotel was quite old and lacked air conditioning, making it very uncomfortable, especially during hot weather. Unfortunately it was my fault that I didn’t check it beforehand. There were also no power plugs near the bed, which was inconvenient for charging devices. Overall, sleeping was nearly impossible due to the heat. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant updates are made."

"The room was at the rear of the hotel and was overlooked, there were no net curtains only room curtains. Therefore the room had no privacy except when you closed the curtains meaning the room was dark most of the time we spent in it."

"I'm not sure that for price and location the Midland can be bettered. Right in the middle of town but not noisy,(I was on an upper floor), also the breakfast had a good choice of both hot and cold dishes. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Aso free parking. The only minus we found, was that the USB ports weren't working - we did report this."
