"I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to think carefully before booking.
Our original room was unacceptable. There was a strong smell of damp that triggered my asthma. There appeared to be faeces on a towel and the carpet, the bedding was dirty, pillowcases stained, mould was present, and the bathroom tiles appeared to have bodily fluids on them. The room clearly had not been properly cleaned.
To be fair, a member of staff apologised and moved us to another room. However, while...

"The hotel occupies a grand position looking out across the bay. However 75% of the hotel is old and well past its sell by date.
On arrival I was allocated a very tired room with grubby carpet and facilities accompanied by the smell of damp. I was moved to a very well equipped room in the refurbished wing. However this was in the oof and very hot. No aircon and couldn’t open the window as road was so busy with Saturday night revellers and traffic.
The best thing was my allocated parking space...

"Just not very good, reasonable price but not really budget or bargain, Great location next to the train, Great Western beach and Pub, Just not a very good hotel. The single room is tiny with a tiny bed and looks more like a student doss house. No air con, fan doesn't work, no lift to the 3rd floor.
Staff often not available at all, has a chintzy looking restaurant in the front but no idea what or if they serve, so many better places to eat, or stay for that matter.

"Incredible!! Views were so nice, main room bar/tea room was so well done and relaxing. Breakfast was included, cold and hot options. Rooms are dated, carpeted. Would stay again, especially for this price"

"We booked this Hotel for a business stay, and it exceeded expectations. The accommodation was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as described, offering excellent value for money. The staff were outstanding—responsive, professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. The team was very impressed, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly recommended!"
