"the room was dinky but perfect for one person and convenient to getting everywhere. It was beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable - hotel standard. The street was quieter than anticipated so I was relieved to get a good night's sleep. Will stay again."

"Friendly run pub offered great service when we arrived late friday evening. Explained we wouldnt need breakfast the saturday morning as we were leaving early to particiapte in the south downs challenge. Suggested a breakfast tray they would leave outside our room. They did and included fruit, cereal and yogurts. Stayed in the Firle room. 4 poster bed very clean and bed was really comfy. Drinks in the bar reasonable priced and lovely welcome. "Perfekt beliggenhet, hyggelig betjening og god frokost. Senga var utrolig god, sov som en stein hele natta. Fikk bytte rom på grunn av et løst toalettsete. Rom to hadde nesten helt tett vask. Det ble dessverre ikke fikset, men alt i alt var det et veldig bra hotell. Skal jeg til Brighton igjen så vil jeg bo der"

"This hotel was very convenient if you travel by train. I was unlucky to arrive in the middle of the railway strike, so I had no advantage of the location. The hotel is a quite standard or a bit under a 4 star hotel. I did miss a hand shower and at least a shower cap, when the only shower is coming from above. The service, breakfast and bar was ok. Nothing special but nothing to complain about either. I could stay hear again. The price is less than other of this standard."

"Other reviews had some negative remarks about it being noisy, old and such, therefore I had some reservations prior to our arrival, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The establishment is an older building and with this comes thin walls, outdated fixtures and other bits but overall it was a comfortable stay. "Amazing stay for my partners birthday. Room was very well presented and hotel offered to provide flowers to celebrate and even a happy birthday message written in chocolate! Absolutely recommend the rooms with a sea view, it really doesn’t disappoint at all! The larger rooms are well worth it, tons of extra space and let you really appreciate the design of the rooms.
