"Good food good service, comfortable room"

"Arrived to be greeted by a group standing in the front entrance smoking weed. No one from the hotel asked them to simple move a few meters so all areivedcdidnt have to walk through it. Was woken up by dealing going on at 02:15am outside my door. There meals overall are not cheap, but the cheapest option at my point of stay was roughly £12 - but they then charge you £7 to bring it 1 floor which isn’t really 4* service. £6 to park your car a day and no guarantee of a space. The staff were always polite - but that only masks the reality here on somewhere more 2* with 4* prices "

"We had a fabulous room, which was ready for us when we arrived at 1130. The bathroom was huge and I had a bath, as requested. Disappointingly, the bath plug was faulty and although staff promised to replace, it remained faulty so I was unable to have a bath which I had looked forward to. Breakfast staff still not listening to specific requests - the food is amazing but far too much of it, and I hate waste!"

"We stayed in one of the lakeside rooms which had a beautiful view. Room was slightly cold because of this but reception did provide us with an extra heater. It was my husbands birthday so they provided a gift and prosecco which was lovely. Food was great, lovely staff and clean hotel. Book ahead for the spa to avoid disappointment. "

"I stayed at the Hiton Garden Hotel with my wife. The hotel and room were excellent. The food was of the standard you would expect from this chain. The drinks were expensive. The people on the desk were welcoming, polite and kind other than on one occasion where I was unaware that I was to sign an invoice for our meal for it to be added to to our room bill. As we passed the desk, the gentleman attending it called over to us 'leaving so soon?' I took this as an accusation or a rude reminder. "
