"This is the second time I've stayed here in recent months. Staff are great and nothing is too much trouble. The biggest highlight for me are the rooms. The first time I stayed I walked into my room to find aircon, a separate seating area with a table and the room was huge!! I thought they'd upgraded me and forgotten to tell me. The last time was the same, not quite as big a room as last time but plenty big enough. I think they need to update their photos on Hotels.com as they just don't do the actual rooms justice and it might put people off staying there. I was nervous the first time I arrived as the pictures of the rooms made them look REALLY dated, but they're not, they're exceptional!"

"Overall stay spoiled by slow service at dinner in restaurant.48minutes between ordering and first course being served.I had to go to staff to find out what was happening.The same happened to a couple on the next table.Very poor communication from staff.Spoiled the meal."

"Room excellent, upgraded to executive room, but on 2nd floor, with no lift working. This was OK, but only because we had very light luggage. We really need a ground floor room if there's no lift now, as we are both pensioners sand beginning to experience mobility issues with stairs."

"Breakfast was very good, good variety and hot. My wife is Lactose intolerant and wheat free. The staff were very helpful in making sure that she was given freshly cooked items. The room was clean ans Sraff very friendly. We didn't use the bar as were were attending an R.A.F. Reunion. The only disappointment was the cost of the car park."

"Clean property, amazingly friendly staff (especially Matilda). Loved the ambience, the quality of the food and wines. Only very minor quibble was we were in the eaves which did not give us a lot of headroom when getting into bed. Loved this place and would highly recommend it and would like to return in the future. Thanks for a lovely experience "
