"The Arthouse is one of those places that should remain a secret! The entrance / lobby has more the feeling of a lovely French boutique hotel than what typically is encountered, including enjoying a freshly baked croissant and coffee sitting at a small round table outside. It’s away from the midtown hustle but surrounded by lively restaurants, galleries and in walking distance to the historical museum, Lincoln center, two blocks away from the Hudson River or 3 to Central Park. Enough said: great for solos and couples in romance…"

"We love this hotel and always stay here when we come to NYC. Staff is very friendly and the included breakfast is perfect. Clean and efficient rooms. And location good for getting to manhattan. 5 min walk to metro! Highly recommend."

"Breakfast was fresh and they had some different items to choose from. Room smelled clean when you walked in. Staff was very friendly and helpful with questions. Parking is a little confusing at first. When you get there you have to pull in front of the garage door next to the front door and then go in to pay for parking. There are only a certain amount of spots so it’s first come but once you pay your parking is secure until you check out. Gated parking in back. Short walking distance to the train and a 10 min uphill walk to the subway. If I ever need a place to stay in the Bronx again, I will choose highbridge."

"Wonderful staff. Room was clean and New-York sized, plain but comfortable and clean. Wish there was coffee service that didn’t require wait lines at the (excellent) French bakery cafe on the first floor. "

"I did not have Bfst. My room was very noisy, there was a fan going outside my window in the roof and the fridge was over heating. Alos this is not a safe location at all to stay. "
