"Nice room, bed area was small but bathroom was large. No elevator so if staying on top floor be prepared. Staff was nice, breakfast is limited but was free and appreciated. "

"Glorious location on the Grand Canal. The staff was excellent-clearly the most professional people are hired by the management. Breakfast, cocktail hour, and dinner were all delicious-we had no desire to look elsewhere when we could sit outside on a terrace next to the Grand Canal. Umbrellas protected us from a brief sprinkle of rain. The recommendation to visit Murano via water taxi was much appreciated. We were picked up off the hotel entrance. We didn't want to leave!"

"Excellent hotel in an excellent location! Plenty of space for luggage and plenty of countertop space in the large bathrooms. Breakfast was the best of the 3 hotels we used during our trip all over Italy. The hotel is located in the heart of the city but it’s not too busy. 15 min walk from the train station and a 10 min walk to Per San Marco. We will definitely stay here if we ever return to Venice! The only negative thing to say is the doors to the rooms are loud when electronically unlocking...

"In addition to the hotel being perfect, it was for us in the perfect location. Quiet but still an easy walk to other areas in Venice. We won't search for a hotel next time we visit venice, we'll stay at the American Dinesen."

"It’s a quick water taxi to the apartment. Giacomo the friendly staff contacted me before we arrived with all information we needed. From the outside you’d never know how lovely it was inside. The rooms were large and beautifully decorated and everything we needed was included. It was away from the hustle and business of the grand canal area but still right in the center. "

"Friendly staff. The room was large, air-conditioned, regularly cleaned and had every amenity we needed. The hotel location was very picturesque, was surrounded by lots of good bars and restaurants and gave easy foot access to the rest of Venice. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection of mediterranean breakfast items."
