"This is my second time staying at the Cecil i love the history and everything about the hotel to me i also love the location middle of the city but I'd you prefer a quieter area that might not be the best choice for you inside the room all was perfect Mr Ali at the reception was amazing accommodating and i cannot sing enough praises for him and also the staff that handles the luggage and the room"

"Lovely decor from the colonial era, large well furnished room, but the wrought iron balcony railings desperately need cleaning and repainting to preserve them. The lift is glorious, and operates beautifully."

"Hotel has very large rooms, mine was around 17m long, but shower cubicle was less than a metre, which didn't make sense. Shower was unpredictable and only once did I feel comfortable to continuous warm water. Hotel advertises 2 swimming pools, but there is only one, outside one which is not heated. Also advertises a SPA, which never worked and the person who I eventually found in the health suite did not want to discuss reasons and actually walked away. First impression was not good at all. the hotel is directly on the Cornish, but I have not spotted it because it has no name shown on the 11 story building..!! What makes it even worse, I tried to call the hotel on the number provided by Expedia, and it was one of the staff own personal mobile phone, and the irony is that guy didn't know how to guide me and didn't know what the building looks like or its colour :D Anyway, the location is great, beach...

"Overall a great stay. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The only downside was some noise due to sports teams staying at the hotel, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience."
