"We liked this hotel. It’s not directly on a beach, but very short walking distance or 3 minutes drive. The hotel has its own parking. About 10 minutes to drive to the charming old town. The breakfast was very nice and fresh. "

"Extremely basic hotel. Fine for one night before a flight, but don’t expect much. Breakfast is very underwhelming. Save the €15 and just walk to Pingo Doce across the street instead. Beds are not very comfortable either, but for a quick overnight stay it does the job I guess."

"Heerlijk hotel met vriendelijke personeel. Super mooie kamer en omgeving. Heel uitgebreid ontbijt. Enkel werd bij het toekomen gezegd dat we gebruiken konden maken van de wellness. Toen we daar toekwamen om 18u30 moesten we 15 euro per persoon betalen, om nog 1u30 gebruik te kunnen maken van de wellness. Heel aangenaam was dat de kamers elke dag zo proper en netjes werd gemaakt en het extra chocolaatje. Wij hadden een heel fijn verblijf."

"Its tricky to be to harsh on this hotel. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. This is a 5 star hotel, which is a little generous. THE BAD The rooms are very dated AC was switched off to all rooms. Maybe cost saving, however the hotel was busy, and no real reason for it being off when asked.. The safe did not work The door to the balcony was damaged The pool did not feel heated, and looked tired The lifts would bounce and go to the wrong floors. The doors shut far to quickly Corridors...

"Roots hotel was excellent!! We loved the clean, comfortable, well maintained property with a great balcony, kitchenette, quiet, small but clean bath, best sleep in 3 weeks! Location was perfect for train station and center city, Close to boat tour meeting spots, restaurants, laundry, groceries and shops. Staff were helpful and friendly. I didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. We absolutely will stay here again next time in Faro."
