The restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the beautiful Peak countryside."

"I would never recommend this place to anyone. The staff don’t return emails answer phones or return phone calls. Check-in ends at 9 PM and if you aren’t there you can’t get into your room. I’ve travelled the world and never in my life had such bad customer service. The Travelodge however has excellent staff clean rooms and comfortable beds. At nearly half the price is an exceptionally better value."

"We had a lovely stay at Cuckoo Cottage and would happily return. The location is excellent for exploring the Peak District, with beautiful walks straight from the doorstep, including Lathkill Dale. The swimming pool was a real bonus after a day of walking, and the games room was great fun, with pool, table tennis, darts, giant Jenga and other games available. "Had a great stay here. Easy check in. Room was on the far side of the hotel so a few little stairs but that was fine. Room was as expected. A little dated but I've come to expect that. The swimming pool was great, good temperature. The sauna was also a lovely plus. There is a male one in the changing rooms and a female one in theirs respectively.
