"The building is very old. With this comes issues with either a very steep staircase up to the rooms or use of an emergency exit at the rear (which is made of metal steps with a precarious old mat dangerously situated at the top). The room was lovely but it was very hot as situated above the kitchen. The weather was forecasted to be 28/29 degrees and I had to ask for a fan. "Lovely clean room. The staff were amazing, they work so hard and are really friendly and smiley. We ate here too for dinner and breakfast, the food was lovely. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area."

"Our room was very hot. We realise there is a heatwave, but the windows wouldn’t open much to bring in any additional air. The bedding was not clean, hairs on the linen. The shower was blocked and would overflow from the shower tray. I had to stop the shower 4 times to give it time to drain, and had to declog the shower of hair from the previous guests. "Der Komfort der Zimmer ist einfach doch nützlich. Kofferbock und Garderobe mit Kleiderhaken machen es leicht Bekleidung aufzubewahren. Alle Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und bemüht. Der Koch ist hervorragend, die Küche alleine mit der guten Auswahl an nationalen und internationalen Biersorten die Wahl des Standorts wert. Wein hab ich wegen der Hitze zu Pfingsten nicht konsumiert, die Karte sah aber sehr attraktiv aus."

"Wonderful quirky 500 year old pub at Eton, literally a stones throw from Windsor Castle and environs, so an easy walk to everything. Great to have parking and the breakfast included was lovely. Very friendly staff behind the bar. Special feeling staying in a historic pub with its own character. Don't worry about the planes going overhead as they have a curfew in the evenings!!"
