"Best thing about property was they had a car park, which was £5. The decor was a bit tired. The bed was too hard for us and my son in another room said his bed was hard too. The room was okay as we had a standard room. They don't have breakfast offered, but plenty of cafes to get breakfast. We were allowed to leave car in car park until 1pm."

"Brilliantly clean, quiet and comfortable 2nd stay would return without hesitation."

"Ideal for traveling on to Stansted airport lovely rooms very clean, free parking. Breakfast was ok a little over cooked staff very friendly"

"I love this place, it's a gem! The staff are all incredibly helpful, friendly and kind. I was suppose to stay 3 nights but got caught-up in the London Heathrow meltdown and my connection to Glasgow was cancelled. I took a train to Motherwell the next day. I called to explain and they were very accommodating of me missing my first night. Today I stated the West Highland Way trek. The Motherwell train station is a 1 hour train ride from Milgavnie (a starting point for the West Highland Way)....

"Arrived on Sunday evening. Had been held up at an engagement but had a table booked during my journey for 20.45. Arrived at the pub/reception at 20.53 (booking line stated I had a 15 minute grace period). Told rather rudely that the kitchen had closed ages ago. I pointed out that I'd booked a table for 20.45 to which the reply was 'well it's now 20.53'. I stated that the booking said there was a 15 minute grace period and I had been stuck in traffic during my 2 hours drive, so couldn't help...

"The hotel is extremely filthy. The hot water wasn’t working on the day of stay. Room was a mess. Hotel is falling apart. The bath tub looked nasty. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel if someone paid me to. Beds were disgusting. The carpet looked worse than a shelter home. And all the reviews that say this is a top notch hotel are false. You are better off staying on the street than this hotel."
