"We recently stayed at the Market Street Hotel and had a mixed experience. The staff throughout the hotel were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which was very much appreciated. The facilities themselves are lovely, and the hotel has a beautiful overall atmosphere and location. Unfortunately, the housekeeping and maintenance standards did not match the quality the hotel presents. "Very well located, spacious and well kept. Unfortunately they put us in a room right at the entrance of their second building in our first night. Our bed was right in front of the main door, so anyone could see us and we could hear every one that was coming in + the cleaning team at 6am next morning. Also the air conditioning was not working. Next day they moved us to a far better room that I believe should better reflect their standards. Make sure you don’t get that 1st family room!"

"The location was great, easily access to everything. We quickly found a short cut through the mall to princess street. The apartment was also nice and quiet. It was mostly clean but there was some grit or dirt on the floor as I could hear it rubbing on my case. "This rustic yet modern building is in walking distance of historic Edinburgh. The room and amenities were excellent, service great, the sister restaurant had excellent food and drinks. Highly recommend this hotel."
