"We arrived at approximately 9pm, slightly later than advised. Although the front door was locked, the manager (I assume) was still there, cleaning. He let us in when I telephoned and kindly carried our case up to the room. The room itself was clean, fresh, well equipped. However, the room was extremely cold on arrival. "We stayed during the hottest May on record, and the AC system in the rooms was not operational as we were informed by the front desk, that this functionality is only switched on for summer. As the room windows only open a few inches, it made for a hot and uncomfortable few nights stay."

"Checkin process too long but it may be system operational problem not staff. No proper classification folder or etc. staff need to find pre-print papers and room card by hand (one by one). There were two guests before me, so checkin for me costs 15 mins roughly. Room spacious, WiFi fast, hot water 24h, bathroom clean. Recommended and will re-visit. Bus stops around, easy access to the city centre. Supermarket just downstairs. Super convenient."

"We had a great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Manchester. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a pitch view room and were also offered complimentary breakfast, which was a nice touch. "Only stayed one night to go to a concert. Said check in from 3pm but when I arrived at 4pm room was not ready. No air-conditioning in room but it was big & beds looked clean but whole place is in need of decorating. Lift was out if order. Kettle in room but only two mugs for three people. Had to ask a couple of times to get an extra mug. Did not use bath or shower over bath as didn't look clean. Towels are provided but no toiletries. Pub next door was good for a drink beforehand but doesn't do...

"5 Star luxury from start to finish. Beautiful location and parking was so easy. The property itself must of just had a refurbishment as the room was fantastic. Fellow guests were welcoming especially when chatting at the front of the building. Local people actually visit the front of the hotel and chat to guests. Didn’t make it to the pool however the bath in the room was the size of a swimming pool."

"This property was advertised as a hotel, but it’s not. There was nobody there at the property to welcome us, nor was there anyone to ask for anything like toilet rolls or extra pillows and there wasn’t a floor mat for stepping out of shower. As my husband is elderly he didn’t have a shower in case he slipped on the floor. Because there was nobody at the property on arrival we left part on our luggage in the car as it was difficult to carry up 2 flights of narrow stairs. To crown it all the room...
