"It was my first time staying in a cottage, and it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. The interior was beautifully done, with a kitchenette and a cozy living room featuring a fireplace (though we didn’t use it). "The most magical, beautiful place I’ve ever stayed. If you’re ever in Auckland, treat yourself one night to this beautiful cottage - and ask for the Olive Cottage if possible! You get a private path right to the vineyard/ restaurant! Everything was just perfect during our stay. And the sunsets are breathtaking. Plus the amazing staff leaves fresh breakfast for you each day!"

"I may have missed it in the description, but this property does NOT have air-conditioning. The house was very stuffy and hot when we arrived, but admittedly cooled off nicely at night. Fans were provided and very necessary. The house was nice and clean, but some appliances were in poor condition or not working. There is a washing machine, but the "dryer" is a set of cloths lines in the back yard! lol I had the impression this property was closer to the beach and maybe even had a nice view, but...

"This is a beautiful house, very spacious, lovely native bush surrounding it. But we would never stay here again because the mold smells were so bad, espacially sleeping downstairs. My son left with a respiratory sickness after two nights of breathing mold in the downstairs bedroom. We opened all the windows to air the place out, but without screens on the windows, the mosquitos were so bad that my other two family members left with about twenty itching bites between them. "This cottage is in a nice location only 10 min walk to the beach, cafes & shops of Oneroa village. The cottage had a pleasant view, but the bedrooms were very small. There was only 1 coathanger for the whole cottage. The oven was left quite dirty and needed a deep clean. Overall we thought it was a bit expensive and certainly only just 3 star standard."
