"We spent three nights at Terra Nostra Garden Hotel, and it was completely worth it. We booked a standard room and requested a higher floor; the professional front desk staff accommodated us with room 138 based on availability. The room had a fantastic view, though the bed was a bit small for two.
The hotel was meticulously clean, and having access to the garden and thermal pools after hours was the main highlight. The grounds are magical, filled with tall, unique overgrown trees rather than just flowers.
Breakfast was phenomenal, featuring fantastic à la carte eggs and omelets served by wonderful staff. The hotel's location makes walking into Furnas village very easy. Driving is manageable since most narrow streets are one-way. Parking is limited; when the overflow lot was closed one night, we parked on a nearby street—a safe 5-to-10-minute walk with plenty of space.
My only caveat is that their weekly full pool cleaning is not clearly documented. While we understood the necessity after seeing how clear the water was the next day with all algae removed, a one-night guest arriving during cleaning would struggle to justify the extra cost. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay again."
