"I thought I would try a more up-scale hotel than usual on this trip to Montreal, but on the whole I was disappointed. (1) check-in: I arrived at 5pm and I was told my room was ready, but I'd have to wait while it was "verified" -- that took 10-15 minutes, which was OK, but not my idea of luxury. (2) room: large, but a bit worn. The front legs were missing from the mini-fridge. One of the upholstered chairs smelled faintly of vomit when I sat in it. The bed was comfortable. (3) check-out: there was a line to check out at 6am. Unpleasant surprise: a $20-per-night "destination fee" was due on checkout, in addition to the advertised rate. I see it is disclosed in the fine print at the time of booking; however, since it is not optional (unlike parking, or a late checkout charge) I would expect it to be part of what expedia quotes as the total."

"Hotel is definitely not at the 4 star level yet and quite frankly shouldn’t be accepting guests at this time. The hotel pool & gym are closed while the hotel is being renovated, these are key amenities that were only disclosed upon check in. The receptionist smiled and said “You could always just get a 7 day free trial pass from good life down the street”. Not the type of response you’d expect from an aspiring 4 star hotel nor something GoodLife would be happy to hear. Multiple floors in the hotel are still in the early stages of renovation and it was impossible to work from my room due the heavy construction noise levels from drills and hammers throughout the day. Moreover, during my 2 night stay, my room was also never cleaned nor serviced by housekeeping (I asked that they return after lunch as I would be out the rest of the day and later into the evening for a conference but they bet returned). The only saving grace was that I paid 50% of their listed $450 dollar per night rate through hotels.com. Much better options in the area for $450 per night and I would avoid this hotel until their renovation is complete."

"Check-in was smooth and quick. They helped with our bags and valet took the car. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Lobby is a little small, so can feel crowded during certain parts of the day, but were able to get in and out easily. La Mezz restaurant on Mezzanine offers continental breakfast daily, however we opted to hit the Starbucks across the street. We did do dinner at hotel twice and food was fantastic both times. Hats off to Simon for his service! Most shops were walkable from hotel. Our room faced the main road, yet it was relatively quiet. Didn't hear a lot of traffic noise. Would definitely stay here again."

"We had a two bedroom apartment and it was quite spacious considering it is located in the downtown area. They had limited parkings underneath the building and there’s an EV charger as well but sometimes non-EV cars occupy the two spots. Luckily, the wire was long and I was able park and charge on the spot next to EV spot. The apartment was quiet and comfortable but just a little dated. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a nice place to stay for us."
