"The look of the hotel itself was very nice. The aethestics and decor looked evelvated but the reception area was a bit weird to me. The reception are is just a large kitchen table area where two people sit there looking like two friends having a conversation. I was confused when I walked in. The amenities of free drinks and alcohol as well as free breakfast every morning was the best perk but outside of that I did not enjoy my experience at the hotel. I feel like I was catfished by the pictures...

Great central location . 15 - 20 minute walk to Van Gogh, Rijskmuseum and Vondelpark. 25 minute walk to train station and close to flower market and lots of restaurants. Comfortable lobby."

"The Ambassade was a welcome surprise in Amsterdam. A small jewel of a hotel in a wonderful central location, within walking distance to museums, Jordaan, shopping and the train station. We loved the intimate setting and personalized service. Definitely recommend!"

"Truly a 5 star experience. So convenient to sights, shops ans restaurants on the Canal Ring and an especially helpful front desk staff. We had a room in the newer adjacent building (they are connected) and were pleasantly surprised to have a lovely sitting room with the bedroom in an upstairs loft. It had elegant decor and was very comfortable. We didn't try the restaurant but had a drink in the bar which was beautiful. would definitely stay again and plan to look into their other properties."

"We stayed in a Deluxe Room the Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium for 5 nights, and we were disappointed. They put us on a floor that was undergoing renovations (our hallway was covered in painting tape and had unfinished light fixtures), and our room had non-functional ventilation and sparse seemingly unfinished decoration. Our room also had no view (despite advertising a city view) and the bathroom was smaller than advertised. We raised all of this after one night, and mid-way through our stay...

"First time coming to Amsterdam and this was a great choice! The hotel was conveniently located in what i’ve heard called the museum end of Amsterdam. The tram, bus and metro stops were less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Staff were very helpful and polite. I would definitely stay at the hotel again! The walk to Jordaan was about 23 minutes but it goes by fast as you are seeing so many different things on that walk! Thank you!"

"First time to Amsterdam and I licked the perfect hotel stay in my opinion to be so close to most everything but far enough away from the crazy tourist areas…. I walked everywhere in under 30 for longest attraction. And everyday able to quickly pop back to hotel at nap and refresh. The staff were so great! And courtyard was so relaxing. Only negative was that I could hear anyone upstairs walking as it is an older building. I would wake up most nights to loud walking above me or...

"From the moment we walked through the door we felt like family. We stayed here last year and loved it, so when we found we were returning there was only one hotel we would even consider. It is a 3-minute walk to the museums and to the concert hall so for us that matters. Staff were excellent. The morning breakfast is fantastic."
