Its a nice hotel for a few days. No change of bathroom towels or room cleaning. You hv to ask for it at the reception desk... we stayed three nights. How can you expect guests to use the towels for three days? I dont might the cleaning (can keep it tidy myself) or that yr bed is not made. Can do that to. But new towels us a must.

The room was a larger space and the staff was friendly. Room was clean. Towels were nice. This is an older hotel with poor room ventilation, dark and moist for most of our stay. Towels do not dry. Large common areas to stay and window view was nice. Lots of free parking. Meals and bar are very expensive . Nothing really walkable.

Great midsomer stay

Lovely room plenty of space and chairs. Wonderful lounge in main hotel and gardens, golf course to walk around. Would have liked a room service with items like club sandwich, which many hotels serve. All staff very freindly and helpful

The Reception staff were extremely helpful when I arrived at changing the room for my elderly mother who could not walk up the stairs. Very kind ladies – particularly the head housekeeper whose name I can’t remember – I think she was Polish.

Couldn’t be happier with our choice of hotel room. We didn’t arrive until about 1930hrs, but was greeted by a lovely lady on reception, who asked if we wanted to eat that evening (which we didn’t) & if we needed breakfast (which we didn’t). We paid our £10 as we had been successful in an upgrade request online earlier in the day &, boy, was it worth it. A stunning view from our room (107) of the garden & golf course. The room was very clean, comfortable & quiet. I have to be honest, we didn’t eat here as we couldn’t afford the extra on top, so we provided our own food. Would definitely stay here again. Our daughter is at Bath university, so we probably will!

The room was warm and well lit , the noise from the Floor across the whole room was very annoying, no sneaking to the loo during the night , overall ok but the place could do with a refit .

Property is clean and well maintained. Had trouble with room cleaning as we expected automatic daily room cleaning. We did not put the room cleaning sign out, so 1st no cleaning. The restaurant is good food, but extremely overpriced for the location for hotel guests. Staff did recommend other pubs in the area which are far better and reasonably price.

Quiet room/dodgy food.

Slippers always good thing. Great to have proper coffee bags instead of instant. Sadly snacks in restaurant were not very good. Duck rolls, crispy outside and mushy tasteless filling. Cooked holumi (sorry for spelling) overcooked ,chewy and tasteless. However next day ordered cheese board---excellent , wonderful crackers and chutney, interesting four cheeses as advertised as five ! But lovely presentation. All reception staff were excellent.

A bit noisy on this occasion

Generally speaking very good. The things that spoiled it for me was the noise of the private parties, both on the Friday and Saturday nights. Added to the fact that a constant stream of party guests traipsing through the bar to go outside to smoke and huddled together because of inclement weather the doors stayed open, letting the wind and rain blow through the bar. It made having a quiet drink uncomfortable, I ended up retiring early to be comfortable. I appreciate parties are necessary for income but some arrangements could be made for the smokers to be away from the doors to the bar.
