"I was blown away by how nice Table Rock Resort was when we arrived. We stayed in a riverside room and it was much nicer than I imagined based on the pictures online. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. They went above and beyond to help us with an issue we had with our rental car. The location is aout 15 minutes from downtown San Ignacio but feels very remote. We heard Howler monkeys on most nights and got to see a lot of hummingbirds and a toucan while eating breakfast. "Chan Chich is an exquisite adventure melding together experiencing Mayan Ruins, jungle experience with a conservation twist. We loved our daily interactions with staff to include Cali who is an expert mixologist, Emil who made everything look easy, Sean who always had a smile, and the wonderful cook Ian. "We enjoyed our stay at Mariposa, the tone was set the moment we arrived. We checked in late and I went to go run in to give our information, our server Robby insured that he needed to greet us properly and asked all our guests to come in for a welcome drink which we thoroughly enjoyed, the kitchen was also waiting on to offer us dinner before they went home for the evening. "Great little place. The hotel was small and quaint. And the staff was amazing so friendly and helpful. We even went out on their sailboat Azul to go see the sharks and stingrays. What an amazing trip that was. The Palapa restaurant that was at the end of the pier was a fun little night spot with live music and good food. During the day you could float around in it, floating tubes out and back of the restaurant and enjoy the site efficient stingray, swimming below. Blue Tang Inn was the perfect...

At night, there are noises akin to what you’d hear on a ship, or deep in the woods—which may be relaxing to some and annoying go others. Also, the hot water can be an otter finicky.
