Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Stayed at the Villa. This was the best part of the stay. Having our own private pool was great as the kids went in and out all day. The villas itself was amazing! Felt like our own little home. The pool and rooms cleaned daily. The only bad thing about staying at the villa is that there is no ocean view and it is very noisy during the day due to a lot of construction going on in the area. With the Villa, we Got complimentary Cabanas by the pool which was nice and your own butler to serve you. Food at the buffet and blue water was excellent. The kids club was very underwhelming. the facilities overall seem a bit older. Mini golf was a 2/10. The entertainment at night was top notch. The pool was nice, spacious. Beach was very dirty and barely anyone there. Not the place to go if your expect to get in the beach water. Overall it was a decent stay. "

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya - An Adults Only All Inclusive
2/10 Terrible
"It was the worst stay that I have ever had in Cancun. Presidential suite had multiple things broken, the staff were partying in the room next to mine and taking selfies of themselves at 7 am in the morning like they were the ones that had paid almost 10k for a trip, they didn’t not offer to make it right, they just offered free wine and it’s an all inclusive already. It was dead with the resort, they played the same play list every day and same trivia, people spit and peed in the pool in front of us, as well as had sex in the pool.
Will never go to another Marg.. resort. Food was also horrible and if you even wanted a pizza delivered from room service it was an additional charge.
Truly awful experience and management treated all of the construction, broken items, staff partying and staff waking us up each morning before 8 am, as if it was no big deal."

Dreams Natura Resort & Spa - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"Everything was good except the food. We’ve been a mini all-inclusive, but this one was certainly not the best."

Royalton Riviera Cancun, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort & Casino - Newly Renovated

Excellence Riviera Cancun - Adults Only All Inclusive

"If you're looking for a place where the vibes are high, the drinks never stop, and there's always something fun going on...THIS IS IT. (We highly recommend Aquafit: it's a high energy dance party in the pool to get your heart rate up.) My girlfriends tried the spa experience and said it was one of the best they've ever had. The staff made the experience, the food options were endless, and everything was spotless. We're already dreaming about going back! "

Ventus Ha at Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"We upgraded to a family suite, which was clean, nice, and conveniently located close to most amenities. Unfortunately, we were unable to book any of the specialty restaurants. We tried two lunch buffets: one was good and the other just okay. Food quality was inconsistent, with some items appearing pre‑cooked and reheated.
Service was mixed: some staff were friendly and helpful, while others seemed disengaged and unhappy to be there. Alcohol options were mid‑tier at best, so if you have specific brand preferences, it’s worth checking ahead of time. The pools were nice, and the kids especially enjoyed the high jump and slide.
The beach and ocean were not usable during our stay due to heavy seaweed, and the smell from the rotting seaweed was unpleasant. At night, the outdoor air‑conditioning units produced noticeable fan noise, though it did not affect sleeping inside the room. The resort sprayed for mosquitoes, but bites still varied by person.
The resort uses room cards and towel cards and charges $40 for any lost towel card, which feels outdated but may help offset costs. Our biggest issue was with the resort credits. Our Expedia package included $300 per room, but we only received $450 total for two rooms instead of $600. After some pushback from the resort staff, we dropped the issue. We were only able to use $60 of the credits towards two massages and later heard Costco offers better resort credit packages."
