"We had an overnight stay..the staff were very friendly and helpful.The room was lovely,a nice size.Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was also a good size,shower was good.Not overally powerful but okay. I would certainly stay again"

"I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional! Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again."

"The hotel was in a perfect location in the old town. A prominent hotel on the high street dating back to 17th century, lots of history attached to the hotel. The room was comfortable but in need of updating. An enjoyable stay in an historic building lots of atmosphere and character. Only disadvantage was the lack of breakfast although there are plenty of cafes nearby. I would certainly stay there again."

"This place is a real gem. Double room at rear of Inn away from main road, Bed very comfortable - lovely bedding. Bathroom very good/clean - would benefit from somewhere to put down toiletry bags etc. beautiful huge white fluffy towels provided. Shower would also benefit from somewhere to put down toiletries etc. Restaurant excellent, lovely ambiance, food plentiful and very good although chips a little too crispy. "The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

"Super convenient location. Staff incredibly helpful. Room had everything you needed. We also ate lunch in the pub and it was tasty."

"We had a two night stay in one of the double bed room with an ensuite. The room was perfect for our intended stay. The room we stayed in did happen to be directly next to the roof garden so the Saturday night was fairly noisy but wasnt too much of a bother"
