"Great location! We enjoyed being right by Whaler’s Village with all the restaurants and shops. It’s also close to Black Rock which is great for snorkeling. We will be coming back for future Maui trips."

"Its location is absolutely amazing. The Sheraton swimming cove is on the right and Whalers village on the left, both at one minute walking distance!! We used to stay at the Hyatt but it’s over a mile long walk to the Whalers village. For the price there is no better property, we can say that because we have been going to Maui 1-2 times a year for the last twenty five years."

"This is the perfect place/location for those seeking a nice condo in Kaanapali. The complex is right next to the Whaler’s village and has good beach front with cabana, lounge and umbrella rentals available. The units are spacious with good kitchens. We’ve been to Maui many times and feel that this is the best option."

"The room was nice and big. We had a pne-bedroom. Everything about this property was amazing, clean and the beach view and the lani - beautiful! I've already recommended friends and family to book here if they are looking for a vacation stay."

"There is no way we should have been charged for a "rollaway bed" ($39 per night). The rollaway bed was only supposed to accommodate those under 70 lbs. I don't know many adults under 70 lbs. The property was listed as sleeping 8, it only slept 6 comfortably. Lots of extra charges made our stay less than affordable. Very disappointed with the amount of money we spent vs. what we got for that price."

"Loved this place we will definitely go there again and again. Go to Costco right off the plane the valet will bring your luggage and Costco items up make sure you tip them well. The grills are super clean and easy to use and well maintained. We didn't care for their breakfast so we just ate light in the room. Grab laundry detergent, food, condiments, bottled water and you will save so much."

"Lack of seats at pool. Almost no shade. Umbrellas had to be down due to wind which I imagine is most of the time. For the price per night very underwhelming. On the positive side close to Whalers Village and a number of options for meals."

"The property was beautiful and the staff were all so great. It is high season so the one issue I noticed is there is definitely not enough lounge chairs at the pool to accommodate all the people who are staying at the resort. All the hotels are like this actually. Resort should provide chairs to guests free of charge for the beach at the rate you are paying to stay there a night."

"Had a wonderful family trip here for 9 nights in July. Loved the size of the rooms and location of the property. Kids loved the pool, beach and golf. Staff were all very friendly and helpful when we got to the resort. My only compliant was when I had questions prior to the trip. Some were answered online and some just ignored. Then when I called the property I was rushed off the phone."

"My family & I love this hotel!!! We just spent 9 days at there in May. We’ve been coming to the Royal Lahani since 2003. The resort is clean, the staff is helpful & friendly. The beach is beautiful & the ocean water is so clear & blue. While we were in the water two sea turtles swam right next to us, they were headed toward the reef by the black rock!!!. It was an awesome experience to see such beauty. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant, the ice cream shop & the rooster on the grounds that...

"Went for our honeymoon and the Whaler didn’t disappoint. The room was clean and set up pretty well. The communication and follow up was the best I’ve experienced, we wanted to experience a bunch of local spots and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The location is perfect. Very centralized to snorkeling, pool, or the ocean. A bunch of good food in walking distance and even some others for a short drive. Was able to whale watch from the room and a short walk to black rock we seen dolphins....

"We had a great stay with two other couples. The unit is well kept as are the grounds. Some good places to eat without having to drive. My only criticism is that none of the lights are very bright except those in the kitchen. We could not play cards at the dinning table because of this. We had to arrange chairs around the kitchen counter."

"Our family will definitely stay here again! It’s a beautiful hotel and our suit accommodated my family of four (the 2nd restroom was such a bonus). We enjoyed the different selections of pool to chill in a with just steps to the beach. Although, Whalers Village is not that far of a walk, having the option of the hotel providing us with a golf cart ride there was fantastic, especially after being in sun all day. My family and I highly recommend this resort to your family as well!"

"Pros: The unit! Cable TV like CNBC & Bloomberg, ice machine, pool noodles/snorkel gear, cantenes for day trips, high end kitchen applances and supplies, good mattress. Cons: Undisclosed fees I was asked to pay upon checkin even when I messaged hotel/mgmt/owner? on Expedia platform weeks before to doublecheck and was told no additional $! It should clearly state "pay at property $xx amount" like my other expedia bookings. Expedia resolved it after escalation."
