"The hotel is about 10 minutes from the main Harper’s ferry attraction and brewery. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Downside to the hotel- it doesn’t look like it was well maintained! There were numerous spiders in the room, we didn’t have hot water when we showed late at night. Overall, the hotel is just mid and could be better maintained"
"We had a very nice 2 night stay at The Burg. The room was updated, clean and attractive. It was nice to have a Nespresso and well stocked bar and snacks. A bigger chair in the room would have been nice (it was too tiny for my 6ft husband. The bathroom was lovely. We could have used towel hooks. Staff members we encountered were very nice and helpful. We were disappointed that the bar closed earlier than we would have liked. The bar area was lovely and the choices were quite good."

"This property was supposedly renovated recently. The contractors they had do the job were terrible! There was paint all over the ceiling and the bathtub in the bathroom had old, dried caulking all around the bathtub. When we arrived, we had to ask for toilet paper, soap, a remote control for the TV, and also realized the refrigerator was broken. Also, the restaurant there was closed on the weekends and we were not told that we would have no breakfast on Monday because it was memorial day and they closed the restaurant for that day as well. Pretty sad."
"Food at wedding venue was excellent.
Only reason review was not excellent was that the previous occupant of our room evidently had set the alarm clock for 5:30 am on a holiday when we planned to sleep in and it was difficult to turn it off. No apology was offered for not making sure it had been turned off."
"A few days after our stay, we saw we were double charged for the room. Once by Expedia (correct charge) and then by Home2 Suites (incorrect charge). Front desk person incorrectly charged our card instead of the Expedia account since we had booked and paid thru Expedia. This necessitated a call to Home2 Suites where a different clerk looked at the issue and corrected it. Had we not caught the error, we would have been double charged. This kind of mistake should not happen."
"Check in was easy. Charging me $40 for early arrival is crazy. Room was adequate for the price. Bar was closed all 3 days and breakfast was basic bagels and muffins. Handicap parking was full of locals that park there and ride the free shuttle to the casino. My wife is disabled so this was a concern. Casino was boring and full of smokers. All but one bar was closed along with both high end restaurants. Nothing spectacular to report. The one open bar had nothing but overpriced beer. How about some signature cocktails ? Bartender had no clue. No entertainment available except Trivia Night contest in the sportsbook area. Really ???Went to the horse racing and found this place offered no food except a broken vending machine and one indoor bar slinging beers at $7 a cup. Outdoor seating on benches was the only option as upper clubhouse was empty and full of cobwebs and neglect. Very disappointed first visit for our anniversary and sadly will be our last. If you’re a local just wanting to play slots all day, then this place might be for you."
