"Quiet and convenient location outside of the Main Street craziness. The front porch was great for watching the horses and bikes go by. The private balcony in the room was a plus for morning coffee and a glass of wine in the evening."

"Spent a couple of nights in St. Ignace. Breakwater was excellent - 2 minutes away from the ferry to Mackinaw Island and a shuttle to get you there for a day trip. Breakfast was great as was the restaurant for dinner. Rooms were spacious, clean with a balcony and great views of the lake and the island. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend."

"I loved my stay! We enjoyed the balcony facing the waterfront and the view was beautiful. The room was clean when we entered and daily room service was available if needed. We were provided with good information about the ferry, the local shops and restaurants nearby. Staff was pleasant and friendly and kind. The room and the hotel overall was very clean. We enjoyed breakfast in the morning. They offered a variety of foods and drinks for everyone. We absolutely loved the hot tub and pool....

"The hotel was OK for somewhere to sleep. The beds were really hard. The rooms had a smell. There was a lot of dust. The air filters in the air conditioners were horrible dirty. And there was only one bathroom in a suite a two bedroom suite. The breakfast was mediocre. The eggs were so hard. The ham was in pure water. Pancakes were overcooked, and the coffee was cold."
