This was like staying at you eccentric, generous, Bohemian uncle’s place - cool art and artifacts EVERYWHERE, snacks and drink offerings available 24 hours/day, and well appointed, clean, and comfortable “guest” room! The night we came in, I was lucky enough to actually meet Chef “Uncle” John Cariere, the proprietor. He was very welcoming and accommodating and invited us to the complimentary breakfast. "This is a historical property that is completely remodeled and beautiful. Our suite had a living area separated by a dressing area from the bedroom and bath. Lovely, well maintained furniture throughout. A small bar was in the lobby. Self serve breakfast was offered. There is a small store on the premises. The staff were helpful and friendly. There are 2 restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend."

"Rooms below the 10th floor or a little shabby and noisy. You can hear all of the traffic noise. We started asking for rooms on the 12th floor or higher to not hear the noise and they seem to look and smell better up there also."

"This was my second stay at this location. For some reason the exterior doors were poorly sealed (2x). Many small bugs flying around room. Had to jam towel in door gaps to try and mitigate."

"I was ready to leave. The air conditioner didnt work. Our room stayed around 75 the whole night. I wet rags and put all over me. To top it off... the suite i booked for my family wasnt held. So my kids were down the hall from me. So on top of a hot miserable night i couldn't sleep due to worrying about my minor kids. I will never visit another one of these properties. "
