"Chloe, the Manager is absolutely lovely. Disappointed that it's not dog friendly."

"Check-in was fine. There was a wedding on (on a Monday) and was left with a feeling you’d crashed someone’s party. Staff were obviously busy with this wedding so not so attentive to other guests. Main gripe was the additional £25 charge on the room for having our dog with us which wasn’t mentioned in any of the booking material. It’s good to be ‘pet friendly’ but also please be transparent about the charges."

"Absolutely loved our stay. Convenient to Edinburgh (by car), great staff but what made our stay special was the property itself - absolutely beautiful... it's like being transported back in time. The setting is beautiful - so peaceful and the gorunds are beautiful."

"Lee- Anne, Anjuli and Nisha made the entire four day stay truly memorable. They offered incredible service and were extremely kind and helpful. We loved the location, just out of the way of Old Town but close enough to all the sights by bus (right outside the hotel). We especially enjoyed the dinner menu as it catered perfectly to vegetarians with a great selection of vegan meals as well. Our room had a lovely view and we had a wonderful experience."

"Booked this for the Zach Bryan concert as it was close, everything was as expected for just a room for the night. Only one thing I would say, the hotel put food on for returning concert guests, £9 for half a pizza is outrageous apart from that everything was as expected."

"Whilst I would not actively discourage anyone from staying at this hotel in Edinburgh, our recent experience was a negative one due to the significant noise experienced in the early hours of the morning as a result of the very busy restaurant and bar which is part of the hotel. This may have been outside the norm due to the world cup, however it felt like the hotel prioritised those watching the match over the hotel guests as there was no evidence of any attempt to keep the noise at a reasonable...

"It was ok. Location was good for transportation on buses or taxis. The room we got was definitely not a “luxury” hotel room or spacious like advertised and did not look like photos. There was no lift, so they should tell people they have to do stairs. The towel warmer didn’t work and there was no plug in for the hairdryer in the bathroom or anywhere near a mirror. It had a bed and breakfast without the breakfast kind of feel, rather than a “boutique hotel,” so seems a little higher priced...

"We booked the two bedroom apart hotel. This is more of a 3* hotel than 4*. It’s very run down. Bathroom fine, grout dirty and good shower power but old building. Sensitive smoker alarms so can’t keep doors open making the apartment quick stuffy at times. The windows open but at ground level can be noisy. Good central location and 5 minute walk to main royal Mile shops. Our issue was retuning on our second evening, which was after a wedding (1am), the above room had leaked through the ceiling...
