"Worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Yes it was budget and it was just for an overnight stop in a continuing journey but broken tiles, broken and damaged panels & threadbare curtains. No staff available in the morning to discuss. Just very Delapidated and way past worn out!!"

"We pre booked and paid for dinner only to find at check in that dinner wasn’t available and we had been booked at a pub 10 minutes away by car. We didn’t want to drive again we wanted to eat and relax after a day of travel. As there wasn’t an alternative we didn’t go to the pub where the main course was fine but not what we wanted. Had we been informed that dinner wasn’t available we would have booked elsewhere."

"Beautiful and comfortable room and bathroom. Very well equipped and exceptional provisions. Excellent breakfast. Great evening meal. Limited motorbike parking (lethal gravel) but found a spot on entrance paths."

"Wevhad a one night stop over to visit relatives. Found the hotel clean, tidy and relaxing. Parking was very good, rooms clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good for the overall price. We will book again "

"Was good for 1 night stay. Breakfast was nice. Staff super helpful and friendly. Only negative was the slamming doors at night. The bedroom doors require a good slam to shut them so this made it a little disruptive at night. Other than that it was a great little place to stay."

"We loved the older Country Club charm. It was beautiful to look out at the water from our room and walk to the castle ruins. The dining is charming as well! Great spot for quietness. We will come back!"

"Found the place expensive £7 a pint, and £13.50 for a breakfast, which we didn’t bother with.Also the room I paid for double room with an extra single bed, had been given to someone else, which by the way I had phoned up two days previous to verify I had.Staff I spoke too were nice, but I would never go back there."

"Stayed for one night, which happened to be the hottest night of the year. Not the hotels fault, but the window in the room would not open. Hotel did supply fans but made little difference. Major issue was after a night in a 30 degree room there was no water for a shower, or the toilet. Spoke to manager who was stressed but apologetic who said the mains were off due to an issue which he hoped would be fixed at some point…. We left quickly to find somewhere to shower and was asked at reception if...

"Breakfast was buffet with a few options but staff slow to refill when food ran out. No shower cap, vanity kit, etc in rooms. I hate using soap gel and the perfume was overpowering. Check in was a little stressful as staff were busy and not very attentive to our needs. We are also loyalty members and staff didn’t bother asking us until I pointed it out and then staff member said we’re not in system so we showed her our member number and tier… in other IHG hotels we are always welcomed with...
