"Extremely friendly receptionist and it’s so nice to be accompanied to your room rather than be left alone . The hotel rooms are quite quirky with antique furnishings and our room had an oriental/ Asian flavour…perhaps some artwork over the bed would have made the room more appealing.The bed and shower were great and extremely hot water so that is a bonus. "A small but friendly hotel with a very highly recommended restaurant. I booked a single room which was perfectly suited to my needs. Parking is tight but that has to be expected in a Medieval town that was built for horses not cars. Overall a very pleasant stay. I would certainly stay again. "

"On the whole enjoyed our one night stay. Property is lovely and our ground floor room was clean and warm. Only downside was black mold on the shower tray edge but the power shower was awesome.The breakfast room is nicely decorated and the food on offer was of excellent quality and well cooked.goos continental selection. "The staff were welcoming, very helpful & friendly. Our room was clean, comfortable and looked like it had recently been refurbished. We had everything we needed & even some shortbread with our tea tray, a lovely extra touch! We ate in the bar & again both the food & service were excellent. I cannot rate our stay highly enough & we are looking forward to returning next year & using it as our base for Burghley Horse Trials. Thank you 😊"

"The room was lovely, clean and spacious. The large TV was appreciated. Staff were courteous and helpful and the food was good with as much breakfast as we wanted. Being a golf club it was away from town and very quiet. Would easily stay again."

"Room was clean, big and spacious although big cobweb in corner, staff seemed reasonably friendly, the location isn’t too bad on the edge of Peterborough. Easy to get to the main road a1 etc so good location, 2 mins in car to a little Tesco and fish and chip bar so ideal for stopping a night or 2, few marks on the wall and things could’ve done with a paint and the blind got stuck so had some difficulty sorting that but all in all a good stay."

"Friendly and happy staff, new beds, with having a Miller and Carter steakhouse within walking distance. Wide open lounge and relaxing area both upstairs and down. Spacious rooms. Downside - no lifts (pun intended), no small fridge, older and squeaky doors. "
