"The lights were very dim in the suite, very dark at night. The suite had a musty smell upon entering each time. Probably one of the nicest in Cairns, but far from international standards."

"It was terrible during my 4 days stay at hotel. The first two days I kept on being interrupted by noise. The first night the noise was so loud I thougt it was train passing near by. I could not fall asleep for most of the night. It totally ruined my following day reef tour. l believe the noise came from a blocked or damaged stormwater down pipe outside my room after rain. The front desk staff were helpful and tried to swap my room with an upcoming customers as the hotel was fully booked....

"Great central place to stay with the wharf very close and the casino just across the road. Rooms that have been renovated are lovely, the ones that haven't been are very outdated and damaged and even though we booked 2 the same had different size beds, tiny TV's, no balcony furniture, bath in one and not the other, and then smelled mouldy. Staff were very obliging and upgraded our rooms due to the condition and smell to the amazing rooms. Buffet breakfast was nice, lots to choose from and...

"The hotel is nice, massive bed, comfy sofa and very friendly staff. Communication was good prior to visit. We went for an apartment style room for the cooking facilities, but there were no pots and pans or cooking utensils, meaning we couldn’t really use these facilities. Not sure if this is normal, but worth confirming with the hotel if you, like us, went for this bigger room for these amenities."

The Staff was very welcoming and helpful especially Zenon he was very helpful at recommending activities to do around the area and overall a great person to have a conversation with. The other staff were really helpful as well. I definitely would stay here again if ever find myself in Cairns."

"Perfectly located and within walking distance to pretty much everything. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. No housekeeping to rooms if stay is under 5 days (or at an additional charge if required). The only issue with this is that the bin fills up really quickly and there is no spare liner to replace it. Overall very happy with my stay and would definitely recommend."
