"The Stavrand is a beautiful property nestled in the redwoods just a few minutes walk from downtown Guerneville. The front desk and dining room staff were friendly and helpful. We brought kayaks, for which we were shown a safe place for storage. My disappointments were: (1) the swimming pool was quite cold, and the jacuzzi was not very hot and had no operative jets, (2) housekeeping did not come clean our room during our 2-night stay, and (3) the room, though lovely, had no real separation of bed...

"The upstairs rooms are very dark very small and very noisy because the kitchen crew are working right outside below till after 1 am. They would not let us have breakfast because we did not have reservation, and there were only 3 tables being served. You would inn guests would be seated for breakfast. Very over priced for the experience we got."

The amenities were very basic for the price but again, that is the benefit of being close to the park since there are limited options. The room was clean & quiet. "This place rocks (pun intended)! Right on the marina with great views (and the sounds of the local wildlife) which can't be beat. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was awesome. King size bed, awesome shower. With a restaurant below, the Anderson Inn has everything. We will be back. In the meantime, we will be recommending this place to everyone we know."

"We we not even sure we had gotten the right room. The beds were not queen size like in the reservation. 1 made a terrible amount of noise when you moved around on it. The cleanliness was questionable. The pool had very limited hours but looked clean. Overall a NO frills place."
